I graduated from Opp High School.  I received a Bachelor of Arts in Communicative Disorders from The University of Alabama.  My Master's of Communication Disorders is from Auburn University.

I am currently certified as a highly qualified teacher in Special Education, Grades P-12; Speech and Language Impaired-Class A and B.

I have worked in a school setting for over 25 years, 16 of those in Crenshaw County.  I have worked in three different school systems: Enterprise, AL; Alachua County, FL; and Crenshaw County.

I spent the first 8 years in Crenshaw County traveling between schools as a speech-language pathologist.  In 2000, I was moved to Highland Home full-time to teach a self-contained special needs class.  In 2006, I was able to transfer back to Brantley for a full-time position as a speech-language pathologist/collaborative teacher.

I grew up in Opp, Alabama.  My interest in communication disorders began at an early age while  playing "school" with a cousin experiencing speech difficulties.

I have lived in Brantley for 16 years. I am married to John Johnson and have a son, Zane.  John and I enjoy cheering for Zane and all the Brantley Bulldogs!

I am a member of Brantley United Methodist Church where I teach Sunday school for 4th and 5th grade.
